Dr. Gurjot Marwah is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona School of Medicine, Phoenix Arizona. She teaches psychiatry to medical students.
Dr. Marwah is the past President of Arizona Psychiatric Society, the state society of Arizona psychiatrists. She coordinates the different events and programs as well as actively participates in the legislative decisions for the society. She is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Arizona Sikh Medical Association and American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.
She is passionate about raising mental health awareness throughout Arizona, specifially amongst college students at Arizona State University where she has closely collaborated with the Counseling Center since 1997.
Dr. Marwah has been elected to serve as one of two Arizona Representatives to the American Psychiatric Association Assembly and participates in the APA governing and practice guideline decisions along with advocating for mental health.
